...Love is a dog from hell (excerpt)

"there is a loneliness in this world so great
that you can see it in the slow movement of
the hands of a clock.

people so tired
mutilated
either by love or no love.

people just are not good to each other
one on one.

the rich are not good to the rich
the poor are not good to the poor.

we are afraid.

our educational system tells us
that we can all be
big-ass winners.

it hasn't told us
about the gutters
or the suicides.

or the terror of one person
aching in one place
alone

untouched
unspoken to

watering a plant."
― Charles Bukowski, Love is a Dog from Hell

The Beard

I don't know when it happened or how, but I suddenly found myself loving the look of bearded men.
Why this attraction to fury faces even began is beyond me, but I just can't stop myself.
Exhibit A and B - Lee on the left and Justin on the right  - two of Ogilvy's bearded brigade.
Don't we just love how they are concentrating over the Chess board?
Lovely!

Let the fury face obsession continue...
I'll keep you posted!

The natural hair

So after two months of braids, I had to get rid of them. And in the process of undoing the plaits, I didn't shave my head. This is an achievement! I find a shaved head so easy, so liberating, so sexy and after almost 10 years of shaved head, I made a choice to hold on to my hair and see what happens

Well, this is what I look like today. Going to troll blog sites like  http://lecoil.tumblr.com  and http://thinazibiloves.tumblr.com to check what other girls do with their natural hair.

Day 1: The hair survived.

Disclaimer: Picture taken after a long day at the office - hence the red eyes. Also excuse the BB quality. (iPhone and proper camera coming into my life soon! Hello Universe)

Expression is the key to our reality

Source forgotten :(
Sometimes I write
Sometimes I don't
Sometime I like it
Sometimes I don't
Sometimes I remember I do it, not because I want to, but it's something I have to do. I have to release. I have to express. It is my form of creating. It is my way to feel connected to the universe. I am nothing without it. Even if I fight it, sometimes.

Express is the key to my reality

My only resolution for 2012

A page a day
A page typed
A page hand written
A page read and turned
A page expressed
A page absorbed
A page saved
A page lived
A page
A day

ANC CENTENARY

The African National Congress celebrated 100 years of existence yesterday.
I am proud of the party for making it this far and for the changes they helped bring about to our country.
I am thankful to all the people within the political party and not, within South Africa and abroad for helping free this country from its woes.

I hope we as Azania get better and better.

We have come from far, and there's still a way to go, but it is not impossible

Fear is a prison

Incarceration is hell

My hope for myself in 2012 and beyond is to no longer make decisions based on fear, but rather on hope and passion.

What I want may not exist, but that doesn't mean it cannot be created.

Upwards and Onwards
